Ourand Named Articles Editor
For Digital Harbor Online
BALTIMORE, Md., January 17, 2006 – Chris Ourand, president
of the business communications firm Chris O. Communications,
has been named as editor at Digital Harbor Online (www.digitalharboronline.com),
the free, twice-a-week news service that covers technology
news in the Baltimore region.
In this volunteer role Ourand is responsible for soliciting
stories to be published under the byline of contributing authors,
and then distributing them to the 5,000 subscribers. Topics
are widespread but must cover some aspect of technology, telecommunications,
or a business subject that helps the newsletter’s readership.
The subscriber base brings together a unique combination of
emerging and established technology companies, government
agencies, venture capital firms, a wide network of service
providers, and a rich resource of highly trained individuals.
“For technology companies and service providers that
have a success story to tell, an opinion to air, or an issue
to raise, our news service is the ideal place for it,”
says Publisher Mickey Wohlmuth. “Chris has high journalistic
standards and works with contributors to ensure that submissions
are interesting and relevant, so companies get the awareness
they seek among a powerful audience.”
In addition to contributed articles, Digital Harbor Online
publishes company-submitted news about new customers, staff,
partnerships, milestones, and other information. News releases
can be sent to media@digitalharboronline.com,
and article inquiries can be addressed to chriso@digitalharboronline.com.
